Vacation in Vermont

We have been spending the past few days in beautiful Vermont.  Lilly is a big fan of snow but I was curious to see how she'd react to 22 inches (!) of fresh powder.   And how did she react?  She literally jumped right in.  Snow up to your neck?  No matter!!  Feels good!

She has been romping with the other dogs here and they have been very forgiving of her occasional puppy rudeness :)

Last night we all went to Stratton so that A. could go tubing.  Lilly waited patiently with me and was sweet to the many people who couldn't help but stop to pet her.  She's quite the popular girl!

Today Lilly went snowshoeing with us.  No need for special equipment when nature has given you built in showshoes.  Our condo is on a mountain with 26 acres for us to play on and Lilly can't wait to explore every inch :)

Big paws

No there are no bears in Wellesley.  Just baby Berners.  The tracks look surprisingly similar though. . . Almost make my big old size 9's look small!!

She's 13 weeks old today and she could not be more loved :)

One big girl!

Lilly had her second appointment at the Vet's today and she is growing like a weed!  She clocked in at 26.5 pounds with not an ounce of fat on her.  Just one big girl!!

I'm so pleased to see that she likes the Vet's office.  Everyone there gave her so much attention and cuddling (not to mention cookies) that I could barely get her to leave!

As we were headed out the door, in walked a 3 year old 125 pound male Berner named Tucker.  He was adorable and the two of them definitely represented a Bernese Mountain Dog "Before and After" :)

Still here!

Hi there!  Sorry I've been so terrible about posting lately but things have been very busy around here.  Nothing special to report- just normal pre-holiday craziness.

Lilly is doing very well.  Yesterday, on her 11 week birthday, she weighed in at a whopping 23 pounds!  That's nearly 10 pounds gained in the last 3 weeks even with a small bout of tummy upset.  She's going to be a big girl!!

We are all getting into the swing of our new routine and life is good!

I'll update with pictures asap.

Favorite spot

Lilly has found a new favorite spot.

She will lie here for hours as happy as a clam.

I hope she enjoys it now because soon she won't even be able to fit her head under the couch!

Good night Lilly

Is anything more conducive to sleep than a good night kiss from a baby Berner?

I doubt it!  Bring on the sweet dreams!

Lilly's first snow

Today was a milestone for our sweet Lilly.  Today she saw her first snow!

At first she didn't even notice the tiny flakes

but then as the flurries intensified she really got into the spirit!

She really is a snow dog after all!
